Robert Redford ha aperto il Sundance Film Festival ’11.
Tra il 20 ed il 30 gennaio lo Utah diventerà la capitale del cinema indipendente con dieci giorni di screening ed eventi. Al suo quinto anno torna anche il New Frontier, lo spazio/celebrazione dell’incontro e della convergenza delle arti visive, tradizionali e dei new media, dove giovani artisti hanno la possibilità di mostrare il proprio lavoro innovativo.

Le parole di Redford ci ricordano che fare film è un’arte, non solo un business:
“Some films are not going to be liked at all, and some films will be very much liked. That’s okay. The point is to show what’s out there. And create opportunities for the filmmakers, and for audiences to find that work. Wherever it goes is really some other people’s business.”
