Gotham Awards 2014 Gotham Awards: Birdman Miglior Film 1 Dicembre 2014  di Elisabetta Lanzillotti

Prima di Oscar e Golden Globes gli Stati Uniti premiano il cinema indipendente. Ieri notte (1 Dicembre) annunciati a New York i vincitori dei Gotham Awards onorificenze alla comunità cinematografica per espandere il pubblico dei film indipendenti e sostenere il lavoro dell'associazione nonprofit IFP (Indipendent Feature Project).

Iñárritu con Birdman vince miglior film e protagonista, un grande ritorno sul grande schermo di Michael Keaton, miglior attore. L’equivalente femminile va a per Still Alice; film e protagonista stanno raccogliendo consensi ad ogni giro: recenti le nomination agli e Satellite Awards, vittoria agli Hollywood Film Festival Awardsi e crescente “Oscar Buzz”.

Boyhood e Birdman vanno testa a testa. La stagione delle premiazioni 2014/2015 inizia ad essere interessante.

Assegnato un premio speciale a Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo e Channing Tatum come miglior cast per Foxcatcher.
