Debbie Harry è una vera icona globale la cui influenza ha plasmato e continua a ispirare il mondo della musica, della moda e dell'arte. Insieme ai suoi compagni di avventura, i Blondie, dagli esordi come irriverente gruppo punk del Lower East Side all’ascesa come ambasciatori internazionali della cultura newyorkese, hanno incarnato uno spirito che ancora oggi risuona attraverso le generazioni.
Da tempo attesa è uscita a fine ottobre la ristampa rimasterizzata e ampliata dell'album di ritorno del 1999, No Exit Deluxe Edition, pietra miliare della band. La nuova edizione celebra uno dei capitoli più importanti dei Blondie: il momento in cui Debbie Harry, Chris Stein, Clem Burke e Jimmy Destri si sono riuniti dopo una pausa di 17 anni per riconquistare il loro posto sulla scena mondiale.
Dal rivoluzionario ibrido rock-disco "Heart of Glass" all'innovazione che confonde i generi di "Rapture", dalla potenza pura di "One Way or Another" e dal fascino frizzante di "The Tide Is High", i Blondie hanno contribuito a rimodellare il panorama musicale, portando il punk in pista, facendo conoscere le sonorità hip-hop a un pubblico più vasto e costruendo un catalogo di successi intramontabili che hanno segnato un'epoca.

Il ritorno di No Exit è accompagnato da The No Exit Interrogation Tapes, un cortometraggio ironico di nuova creazione di Rob Roth che cattura l'umorismo pungente e l'alchimia creativa di Chris e Debbie con le loro stesse parole.
Disponibile per la prima volta in assoluto su vinile, la No Exit Deluxe Edition include la hit mondiale "Maria", brani amati dai fan come "Nothing Is Real But the Girl" e "Under the Gun", e remix tra cui "No Exit" (feat. Coolio & Loud Allstars) e "Maria (Ether Dub Mix)". La tracklist ampliata include anche la rarità "Hot Shot" — originariamente esclusiva della versione giapponese — rimixata da David Wrench (David Byrne, The Pretenders, Frank Ocean). La ristampa è stata prodotta da Tommy Manzi e Steve Rosenthal, con mastering e restauro a cura di Jessica Thompson.
L'eredità visiva dell'album è stata reinterpretata anche dal direttore creativo di lunga data dei Blondie, Rob Roth, che ha fotografato l'artwork originale di No Exit all'interno del leggendario nightclub newyorkese Mother. Per l'edizione deluxe, Roth rivisita quel mondo di voyeurismo e glamour di fine anni '90 con immagini fresche e aggiornamenti di design.
Debbie Harry riflette sulla mentalità che ha plasmato la reunion della band e la realizzazione di No Exit: "Per noi era importante che questo album rimanesse, prima di tutto, un'attività creativa. Non pensavamo ai tour o alla nostalgia: il nostro obiettivo era esclusivamente quello di creare nuovo lavoro"
