Gli hyperpompati Arctic Monkeys hanno vinto, come da pronostico nazionalistico, il prestigioso Mercury Prize battendo nell’ordine Richard Hawley e Thom Yorke. La band britannica si aggiunge a Antony And The Johnsons, Franz Ferdinand, Dizzee Rascal, PJ Harvey, Pulp, Portishead, Primal Scream, Suede e Ms. Dynamite.
