Si sono sciolti gli Isis
“It’s hard to try to say it in any delicate way, and it is a truth that is best spoken plainly. This end isn’t something that occurred overnight and it hasn’t been brought about by a single cataclysmic fracture in the band. Simply put, ISIS has done everything we wanted to do, said everything we wanted to say. In the interest of preserving the love we have of this band, for each other, for the music made, and for all the people who have continually supported us, it is time to bring it to a close”. Con questo annuncio sul blog ufficiale aperto da un “Good Night!”, il 18 maggio 2010, gli Isis hanno messo la parola fine sulla loro influente avventura. L’ultimo show sarà celebrato il 23 giugno a Montreal, guarda caso la città del loro primo concerto. Dopo il tour nordamericano pubblicheranno un ultimo EP, sistemeranno il materiale live per future release e “generally doing whatever we can to make our music available for as long as there are people who wish to hear it”. Gli Isis hanno realizzato 5 album in 13 anni di carriera (l’ultimo dei quali è del 2009 ‘Wavering Radiant’).
