Una compilation per Save the Children. Il titolo, “The Colours Are Brighter”, 13 brani con la presenza di ospiti come Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol, The Divine Comedy, The Flaming Lips. Il tutto coordinato dai membri della band dei Belle and Sebastian. Alcuni brani sono stati composti esclusivamente per il progetto e sono tutti dedicati ai bambini: “Jackie Jackson è un bambino golosissimo che mangia così tante torte da scoppiare” hanno scritto i Franz sul loro sito, mentre quello dei Lips “The Big Ol’ Bug Is The New Baby Now” faceva parte dell’esperimento “Zaireeka” (un album composto da 4 CD suonabili contemporaneamente). “The Colours Are Brighter” arriverà nei negozi a Ottobre per la Rough Trade, il ricavato andrà all’organizzazione Save The Children.
