Arctic Monkeys "Dream River", "MBV" e "AM" i migliori album dell'anno, rispettivamente, per Mojo, Uncut e Q, in un 2013 privo di un vero trionfatore 3/12/2013 di Francesco Donadio

E' arrivato quel classico - da alcuni adorato e da altri detestato - momento di fine anno; quello in cui i massimi opinionisti di tutto il mondo indicano (con una certa supponenza, va da sé) quale sia stato il miglior disco del 2013. Come al solito i primi a muoversi, con un anticipo di oltre un mese, sono stati gli autorevoli - e ancora nonostante la crisi, piuttosto venduti - magazine britannici Mojo, Uncut e Q.

Ne risulta la fotografia di un anno, il 2013, in cui non c'è stata alcuna unanimità tra i redattori dei tre magazine. Se Mojo ha incoronato Dream River di Bill Callahan, Uncut ha puntato sul ritorno dei My Bloody Valentine MBV e Q ha concentrato i suoi voti su AM dei più giovani Arctic Monkeys. Nulla di più differente, insomma. Tuttavia, nelle (tante) divergenze d'opinione, emergono comunque degli interessanti pattern comuni: il buon Callahan infatti è anche al n.7 per Uncut e al n.27 per Q; MBV risulta al n. 13 per Mojo e al n. 12 per Q; infine, AM ottiene un ottimo quarto posto per Mojo e un buon nono per Uncut. E sono risultati molto votati anche The Next Day di David Bowie (n. 2 per Uncut, n.3 per Mojo e Q), Random Access Memories dei Daft Punk (n.2 per Mojo, n.4 per Q e n. 13 per Uncut) e Modern Vampires Of The City dei Vampire Weekend (n.2 per Q, n.7 per Mojo e n. 20 per Uncut).
