Daft Punk "AM" degli Arctic Monkeys e "Get Lucky" dei Daft Punk votati, rispettivamente, miglior album e singolo del 2013 dai redattori dell'NME 5/12/2013 di Francesco Donadio

Il 2013 pare essere una di quelle annate senza un vero dominatore assoluto, abbiamo scritto in un articolo precedente. Qualche indizio su chi potrebbe aver vinto per un'incollatura però sta iniziando ad arrivare, e con l'arrivo delle poll di fine anno dell'NME la bilancia va a pendere sul versante degli Arctic Monkeys e del loro quarto album AM: n.1 del 2013 per i redattori dell'NME e di Q, oltreché detentori di un ottimo quarto posto per Mojo e di un buon nono per Uncut.
Bill Callahan, preferito da Mojo, qui risulta solo 39esimo, mentre i My Bloody Valentine, n.1 per Uncut, si fermano alla 29esima posizione. Bowie e i Daft Punk si mantengono alti (rispettvamente al n. 10 e n.6) mentre i Vampire Weekend si attestano al n.16.

Dal punto di vista delle singole tracks, invece, trionfa, come prevedibile, il tormentone Get Lucky dei Daft Punk seguito dagli Arcade Fire (Reflektor) e dagli adorati (dall'NME) Arctic Monkeys (Do I Wanna Know?)
